September 7 @ 12:00 pm - September 8 @ 12:00 pm BST£45 – £62
A running adventure that YOU control.
12HR or 24HR CHALLENGE (Both events start at 12noon Sat 7 Sep 19)
Do you take the Northern Route OR the Southern Route?
At what point do you turn around?
Do you find a place to kip or fight through for max distance?
An event that challenges not only your mental and physical strengths… But one that challenges responsibility and choice under the stress of tiredness.
An event that challenges your strategies.
A event that challenges your very own survival.
Whether you take on 12 or 24 hours, your journey will begin in Holme Chapel, Lancashire. Once you decide if you are heading North or South, you will be provided with the GPX of that route. Both routes predominately follow the Pennine Bridleway (PBW), although there are sections that leave the PBW as link routes back to the PBW.
Both North and South Routes will have Checkpoints to refill water and snacks.
The 24 hour CP locations are approx 43km and 75km distances respectively. Sleep is your call, whether you have a support team and bunk in a car for an hour, you carry a small tent and rough it or recce and find a place to stop for a bit when you are planning your race… The choice is yours.
You will be issued a GPS live tracker so we know where you are at all times and your friends and family can watch your progress in real time.
There will be circumference rings at respective distances. If your tracker pings a ring, your ribbon colour will change on finish.
things to consider.
If you wish to leave the event at any point, its on you to sort your own transport and return your GPS tracker.
If you’re a minute over the clock back at the startline its sadly a DNF.
If you become immobile/injured we will attempt to recover you with the support of mountain rescue. If your tracker stops for 15 mins you must contact us to let us know you are stationary for rest etc. We will attempt to contact you by your mobile phone if 30 stationary mins passes without contact from you.
